Our Story
CK Youth Sports started as a vision to create something bigger than wins and losses. We saw an opportunity to bring families together, to build lifelong confidence, and to prepare young athletes not just for their next game-but for life.
Our Ohana-inspired values are woven into everything we do. Every child matters. Every coach mentors. Every practice is a step toward something greater.
The Foundation
We create an environment where athletes discover what they are capable of-on the field, in the classroom, and beyond. Confidence is built rep by rep, season by season.
We hand-select coaches who lead with heart. Winning matters, but who our athletes become matters more. Integrity, accountability, and respect are non-negotiable.
CKYS is more than a league-it's a family. Rooted in Ohana values, we bring parents, coaches, and kids together around a shared belief that every child deserves to belong.

The CK Youth Sports Board is made up of committed parents, coaches, and community leaders who believe in building more than athletes-we're here to shape confident, compassionate, and resilient young people. These are the faces behind the mission.
CEO & Coach
With over 30 years of experience coaching youth and high school sports, Mike co-founded CK Youth Sports a decade ago with a simple but powerful goal: to surround his kids-and every kid-with a community of positive, uplifting families. A proud father to twins Skylar and Gunnar and Rogan, Mike draws daily inspiration from his family and his wife of 20 years, Kris. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from UCLA and runs an independent wealth management practice.
Treasurer & Coach
Drew is a dedicated husband to Tarah and proud father of three-Maddux, Reese, and Holden. A passionate youth coach, Drew has cherished the opportunity to coach each of his kids in various sports over the years. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arizona State University and currently serves as CFO of Unforgettable Coatings, bringing strategic leadership and heart to everything he does-on and off the field.
Board Member & Coach
Born and raised in Arizona, Jason is a dedicated husband to Stacey and father of four: Darrian, Taelar, Dominic, and Ayla. His CK journey began five years ago when his son Dominic joined the program. Jason brings over a decade of coaching experience, currently leading the 12U Valkyries girls flag football team and the D1 CK Vikings tackle team. Off the field, he works as a mortgage underwriter for Chase.
Board Member & Coach
Unfortunately, Matt didn't get us his bio in time-but that tracks. He's definitely the Maverick of the board, and the world could use a lot more people like him. Equal parts fun and fiercely committed, Matt brings a spark to CK that can't be summed up in a few sentences anyway.
